My little boy loves ducks. “Duck” (or “quack”) is invariably his first word in the morning – in fact, it was his first word full stop – and he insists on taking five or six of them into the bath to keep him company while mummy carries out the daily torture of hair washing and teeth cleaning. So when I saw that Cuddledry has brought out the Cuddleduck, well, I couldn’t resist.
Cuddleduck is more upmarket than his little yellow friends. Not only does he come in a rather fetching gold polka dot, he is made of natural rubber which makes ducky a lot more pliable. This means little hands can give him a quick squeeze, he fills with water, then with a satisfying squeak, water shoots out of his bottom ! Endless fun and a fantastic distraction when the cleaning process commences. It is also pthalate free and non-toxic so contains no nasties for your little one.
This little chap comes from Cuddledry, makers of the ingenious Cuddledry Baby Bath Towel which I use every day and love so much I got one for my sister-in-law. If you haven’t seen one, the concept is simplicity itself. Basically, it is a towel with a strap which you wear like an apron, freeing up your hands and avoiding the whole juggling-a-slippery-baby-while-holding-a-towel-in-your-teeth nightmare. Enough now before I am mistaken for the official spokesperson for Cuddledry.
Cuddleduck costs GBP 5.99 from www.cuddledry.com
